Barchetta is looking for an experienced general manager and partner in our business. Specific Duties and Job Responsibilities may include: Managing staff: Hiring, training, and evaluating staff performance Scheduling: Ensuring shifts have adequate coverage Financial management: Monitoring finances, including sales and expenses Menu development: Working with the chef to create a menu that meets budgetary constraints and can be prepared and served efficiently Marketing: Developing a marketing strategy, including a plan and budget Customer service: Responding to customer questions and complaints and providing exceptional customer service Reviewing and reporting reservations: made online and setting up meetings with groups who desire to throw larger parties or functions at the restaurant Compliance: Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations Conflict resolution: Resolving conflicts quickly and effectively Inventory management: Estimating consumption, forecasting requirements, and maintaining inventory Supply management: Managing restaurant supplies and assisting in ordering Cost control: Controlling costs and minimizing waste Paperwork: Completing necessary paperwork, such as sales, inventory, and staff attendance reports Bank Deposits: and managing the bank that the restaurant holds. Overseeing deposits and daily register closes made by the staff. Making change and ensuring that we have the proper balance of funds. Manages liquor, beer and wine inventory and works with BOH for purchases of food and supplies Manages swag inventory and communicates order needs with back office Conducts daily checks of restaurant and equipment to ensure compliance with health, safety, food handling and hygiene standards. Schedules routine maintenance and service on equipment calls in repairs as needed. Takes ownership on tasks and sees them through from start to finish. Required Skills/Abilities: Strong supervisory and leadership skills Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service Excellent time management and organizational skills Decision making and problem-solving skills; able to identify and analyze problems and offer solutions. Responds well to feedback and constructive criticism include online Able to professionally communicate information to others and actively listen Ability to provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment Able to safely lift and easily maneuver trays of food when necessary Willing to follow instructions and ask questions for clarification if needed
