This Position The Lead Barista is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the bakery. Ensuring the delivery of high-quality coffee, food and seamless exceptional customer service. This role involves leading the barista team, training staff, and maintaining a welcoming environment for guests. At Jezabel's, we are a small but mighty team committed to doing things our way. This morning role will assist in bakery and dining room operations including stocking, making drinks, ringing guests up, serving food, setup and breakdown of each station and the dining room. Jezabel's is open for breakfast, lunch, catering, and takeaway Wednesday to Monday. Everyone who joins our team is expected to work at least one weekend day between7 a.m. and 6 p.m. FOH staff are expected to be punctual, reliable, and team-oriented. Staff must be well-groomed, dress appropriately, and be friendly and outgoing. The key responsibility is to engage with customers as soon as they enter and to ensure they have a true "Jezabel's" experience. Our customers are the engine that drives our business, and engaging with them in a proactive and positive manner is a critical job skill. Responsibilities Prepares and serves coffee and tea following proper steps of service and standards. Onboard and train new staff in coffee preparation, equipment use, and customer service. Properly handles, maintains and cleans all equipment. Graciously takes guests orders, questions, concerns and complaints in a polite and effective manner. Accurately handles cash and credit card payments following proper procedures. Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of all menu offerings, making recommendations to guests. Manages inventory and stocking with proper FIFO procedures. Supervise and support baristas, fostering a positive work environment. Adhere's to health and safety standards. The Ideal Candidate Candidate has good problem solving skills. Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills. Candidate works well autonomously. Candidate is detail oriented and highly organized. Candidate has excellent interpersonal, communication and people skills. Works with professionalism and is self-driven. Demonstrates a deep understanding and appreciation of food and beverage culture including the trends, the disruptors, the behaviors and the complexities/opportunities. Has a passion for hospitality, service, food and beverage. Requirements and Experience 1-3+ years of hospitality experience in the food industry. Open availability including weekends and holidays. Flexibility and willingness to adapt to ongoing changes. Ability to inspire, motivate and develop employees. Ability to identify problems and solve them. Professional and confident verbal and written communication with guests, and fellow team members. ServSafe is a plus.
