Answers inquires and/or directs the public to the appropriate individuals and departments whether in-person or answering the Sheriff's Office general phone lines. Performs various administrative duties for the Sheriff's Office. Examples of Duties Provides coverage and customer services for the Sheriff's Office reception area.Provides professional and confidential services and clerical administrative support to the Sheriff's Office. Provides administrative and clerical support to Records and Civil Process units.Processing of initial gun permit applications and intake of civil process material to include acceptance of money for fees. Complete fingerprinting for civil purposes to include acceptance of money for fees. Process of initial public data requests and coordinate with County Attorney's Office staff. Performs other duties as necessary. Qualifications MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: This position requires a high school diploma or general education degree, and two to three years of clerical and business administration experience, or related office experience.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Associate's degree in Administrative Assistant and Support, Business Administration, Public Administration and/or one to two years related experience in the public sector and/or county/city government. Supplemental Information HIRING RANGE / UNION: $20.82 - $21.82 per hour / GU - Grade 5HOURS: Full-time hours equal 40 hours per week.
