This position will be primarily focused providing prospective groups with complete and accurate information on our properties; upkeep and maintenance of complete detailed group accounts for every documentation regarding the group from the contract, group resume, monitoring the group pickup, collecting payment, and maintaining contact with the resorts on all important information pertaining to the group. As a Group Sales Coordinator, you would be responsible for representing the hotel's services and facilities to prospective clients and customers in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: * Coordinate with assigned group accounts by ensuring accuracy of rooms entered into the PMS System, collecting payment, processing rooming lists, managing cutoff dates and payment deadlines, working with group leaders for special requests, working with groups to increase allotment pickup, and communicating with resort operations to ensure they are prepared for group's arrival. * Receive and process group inquiries from various sources including but not limited to: Brand website, Meeting Broker, Hotelplanner, Department phone line and Groups email inbox. * Responsible for Managing assigned projects through the duration and completion as assigned. Project may consist of but not limited to lead generation, new business ideas implementation, competitive market analysis, assist in business development extended stay program, process improvement management and SOP documentation. * Support Rental Sales & coordinate with Rental Sales Managers to help grow rental revenue and any other tasks needed. REQUIREMENTS: * High school diploma required, and college degree preferred. * Associate degree in Hospitality Management/Business Administration and/or 2-3 years of experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience. * 2-3 years of Group coordinator experience. * Excellent communication skills including written communications, speaking and presentation development and delivery. * Strong decision making and problem resolution skills. * Ability to multi-task and work under multiple deadlines. * Ability to work as a team and be part of a dynamic team environment. * Possesses strong organizational skills. * Highly motivated who gets things done with minimal guidance. * Must have desire to learn, and ability to master new systems and tools. * Ability to work well with other team members and cross-functional teams. * Excellent customer service skills * Expert level experience required for: Microsoft Office (especially Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
