About Us At Passerine, we are excited to bring a high-level Indian dining experience to NYC. Opening at the end of October, we are dedicated to delivering exceptional food and service, inspired by the Michelin-starred vision of our talented Chef Chetan, who earned accolades in DC last year. Our goal is to create a memorable dining experience that reflects the rich flavors and traditions of Indian cuisine while aiming for a Michelin star in our new home. Position Overview We are seeking passionate and talented bartenders to join our dynamic team. As a bartender, you will play a crucial role in creating an inviting atmosphere for our guests while ensuring they enjoy a seamless and enjoyable beverage experience. You will work under the guidance of our Bar Director, who will provide direction and delegate tasks to enhance our beverage program. If you have a flair for mixology and a love for hospitality, we want to hear from you! Key Responsibilities Craft and serve high-quality cocktails and beverages, showcasing your creativity and knowledge of mixology. Knowledgeably present the beverage menu, including food pairings and highlighting unique aspects of our Indian-inspired offerings. Take and manage drink orders accurately and efficiently. Collaborate with the kitchen and service staff to ensure timely and exceptional service. Maintain a clean and organized bar area, adhering to health and safety regulations. Handle guest inquiries, feedback, and special requests with professionalism and care. Uphold the restaurant's high standards of service and contribute to a positive team environment. Qualifications Previous experience as a bartender in a fine dining or upscale restaurant is preferred but not required. Strong knowledge of cocktails, wines, and spirits, with a particular interest in Indian cuisine and flavors. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. A passion for hospitality and a commitment to providing exceptional service. Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends. Actively practice food and beverage safety procedures. Organizational skills.
