Location: Bearcat Diner25 hours per week 1,200 hours per year240 days per yearFTE = .5769Benefits: Participation in the Nebraska Public Employees Retirement System Vision InsuranceGroup Life InsuranceOther voluntary benefits available, contact HR for more informationQUALIFICATIONS:Education: Minimum of a High School diploma or equivalentVerified experience with skills that include: Strong secretarial, organizational and accuracy skillsAbove average skills with math and the operation of a ten key calculatorAccounting skills including the preparation of purchase orders, and working closely with the district's financial personnelStrong data entry and computer skills including Synergy, WORD, EXCEL, Publisher, Power Point and Google docs and sheets.Prioritizes, organizes and multi-task in a fast pace environmentExcellent people skills, meeting and greeting visitors, administrators, contractors, vendors and patronsESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: (Include, but are not limited to)Answer questions from parents regarding their student's Bearcat Diner Account.Take payment from students or parents.Write receipts for all cash received for lunch accounts and for checks when requested.Enter cash, checking debit or credit card payments into the Lunch Account Program as they are received.Enter cash and checks received from all schools into Family Lunch Accounts.Balance all checks and cash received and prepare the depositAnswer questions Bearcat Diner staff have regarding a Student or Family Lunch Account.Answer telephone and take messages or transfer calls to Bearcat Diner Staff.Create new lunch accounts using Synergy.Process Free or Reduced meal application on the same day as received.Mail statements to parents to remind them of payments as neededEnter all invoices for purchases onto Vendor Excel spreadsheets.Verify all invoice numbers and money for each vendor at month-end, enter totals on spreadsheet, along with any miscellaneous invoices to be paid.Prepare monthly menus using Microsoft Publisher.Verify information within NutriKids, make any changes necessary and send copies out to managers in a timely manner.Record catering events on monthly spreadsheets, invoice contact person for the catering as soon as possible after the event, and log all payments received for catering.Maintain an inventory of office supplies and send out supplies to kitchen managers as needed.Prepare copies of all forms needed for each school for the school year.Continual learning of menu guidelines for reimbursable meals to be able to answer questions from parents or students and explain how school meals work.Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Food Service.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Never Occasional Frequent Constant 0% 1-32% 33-66% 67%+ Standing XWalking XSitting XBending/Stooping X Reaching/Pushing/Pulling XClimbing XDriving XLifting 50 lbs.
