Work will center around training employees, planning, assigning, directing and executing work, assisting with appraising performance, promoting compliance, investigating complaints, resolving problems, and facilitating communication. Success in this position requires the ability to work with complex machinery and perform physically demanding work while ensuring the safety of self and others. This role is based in a Zinpro manufacturing plant. Maintain safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations.Communicate customer issues with operations team and help devise ways of improving the customer experience, including resolving problems and complaints.Ensuring that all regulatory requirements and policies comply and appropriately communicated to the plant teams.Ensure overall housekeeping expectations are met.Directs, plans, and assigns the specific tasks operators execute to meet the expected plan communicated from management. As required, fills in and executes tasks needed to meet daily plans. Responsible for reactor operation, drying, blending, packaging, shipping and receiving.Ensures the accuracy and completeness of production documents and ensures confirmation in the system for the activities completed each daySupports and identifies needs to accomplish each requirement and executes workflow (report, work order, proposals, etc.) as required to address needsOwns the performance of production metrics and execution of the training program for the siteEnsures accurate raw material and supply counts are provided for planningEnsures compliance standards are enforced by operators by interpreting and representing company policies to workersLeads first investigation within 24 hours for every issue that arises from execution of the daily workflowSupports, recommends, and enforces measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of productSupports and suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of department or staffOversees execution of work orders and process orders to ensure efficiency, safety, and quality standards are metPerforms other duties as assignedQualifications Minimum Required: High school diploma or equivalentMinimum 5 years' experience in a production environment or warehouse operation1+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environmentMechanical aptitude and the ability to perform basic troubleshootingBasic computer skills (PC) and basic working knowledge of MS Word and ExcelAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manualsPreferred: Post-secondary education3-5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environmentExperience in a related production environment or industry such as chemical, feed, paper, ethanol, or dairy manufacturingDemonstrated ability to troubleshoot and perform maintenance-related tasksExperience using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) or inventory management systems such as Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)Experience supporting ISO 9000 Quality Systems, GMP's, or Lean Manufacturing methodsZinpro is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not discriminate based on race, religion, color, sex, age, national origin, or disability.
