Under the supervision of the Director of Facilities, the Maintenance Technician will perform various functions to maintain the campus buildings. The Maintenance Tech will evaluate, repair and maintain plumbing, electrical, carpentry and HVAC systems in the buildings, as well as respond to work orders of mechanical or maintenance issues throughout campus. This position will also participate in snow removal operations. Responsibilities * Communicate with facilities management about any work that requires outside expert assistance. * Evaluate, repair and maintain plumbing, electrical, carpentry and HVAC systems in the buildings. * Receive and respond to SchoolDude work orders of mechanical or maintenance issues throughout the campus. * Work with tools and supplies necessary to complete projects. * Maintain CSC Facilities safety procedures at all times and comply with all PPE requirements. * Maintain fire, carbon monoxide, smoke and other safety systems within the campus * Must be available and on-call for emergencies and inclement weather. * Must be able to shovel, plow, and operate snow removal equipment for long periods of time. * Ability to work evenings and weekends as assigned. * Willingness to inspect and evaluate all mechanical aspects of the building. * Must have the ability to climb heights, lift up to 60 lbs. and climb onto ladders. * Work alone or with a team of people. * Must have excellent written and oral skills. * Must communicate well with management, co-workers and all of the CSC community. * Organized and efficient while preforming tasks and projects. Qualifications * 4+ years' building maintenance experience * High school diploma/GED required. * Valid NH Driver's license Physical Requirements * Must have the ability to climb heights, lift up to 75 lbs. and climb on ladders. * Must work in inclement weather. * Be able to stand, walk, climb, squat, stretch and bend for long periods of time.
