Business: Pharma Solution Department: Facilities, Maintenance & Engineering Location: Lexington Job Overview The Maintenance Technician ensures safe, efficient, and continuous operations by troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on equipment in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. Reporting Structure Reports to Maintenance Supervisor Key Responsibilities * Uses hand tools, power tools and delicate testing equipment in performance of duties * Completes basic maintenance procedures with minimal supervision * Complete complex Maintenance with limited supervision * Completes maintenance request work orders for regulated and un-regulated systems * Performs routine checks/inspection routes. Records equipment readings and changes chart paper. * Effective documentation of Preventive Maintenance and Calibration under the GMP, development and research umbrella * Complete Equipment Activation following established procedure * Schedule self-performed work assigned at beginning of month and due by end of month * Schedules and escorts contractors through facility for routine deliveries or inspections. Ensuring they complete activities per procedure or agreements * Recommend facility improvements to meet OSHA safety, ISPE or FDA guidelines * Creation of maintenance procedures, and updating existing procedures to match best practices and lessons learned * Identifies and orders spare or replacement parts for equipment utilizing inventory management system. * Performs other duties as assigned Education Requirements * High School Diploma or equivalent, advanced technical certification preferred Experience * 2-4 years' experience in industrial maintenance supporting a manufacturing facility, preferably in a cGMP related environment Competencies * Demonstrated mechanical ability * Knowledge and application of HVAC systems, including clean steam/boiler, preferred * Knowledge and application of high purity water systems, preferred * Knowledge and application of clean room technology and certification, preferred * Electrical/electronic repair/troubleshooting experience, preferred * Knowledge and application of PLC programming and troubleshooting, preferred * Knowledge and application of bioreactors, CIP cleaning systems and autoclaves * General facility repair, maintenance and up-keep experience, preferred * Ability to use Excel, Word, and other office systems. * Ability to cross-train on techniques across multiple groups. * Ability to read architectural, Mechanical, electrical, and P&ID drawings.
