Press Club is a cocktail lounge and record bar with an emphasis on curating hospitality and atmosphere for our guests. We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Pastry Chef with a strong work ethic and lots of curiosity who is bold enough to explore the world of mixology. This person will embody the highest standards of preparation, time management, service, consistency and execution. The responsibilities include (but are not limited to) Collaborating in the conception, creation and execution of cocktail accouterments. These could include mushroom sable with strawberry gel, chocolate wafers and truffle infused pate de fruit. We want you to bring your creativity in elevating Press Club's award winning cocktails. Employing cross utilization of culinary and prep ingredients in the preparation of accouterments. Taking lead on infusions, fermentations and clarifications that will be essential to creation of the Press Club menu. Assisting with culinary prep during service and occasionally running food. Effectively communicate and provide strategic direction, prioritizing tasks to ensure they are completed in a timely and seamless manner. Maintain the prep department, including equipment and coordinating the kitchen cleaning schedule. Uphold health and safety standards by enforcing strict sanitation protocols. Qualified Pastry Chefs must be energetic, enthusiastic, and have a great attitude, as well as: At least 2 years of culinary experience in a fine dining setting Passion for creating an incredibly memorable guest experience through cooking. Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced work environment effectively without losing focus on priorities and while maintaining a high level of quality. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 25lbs if necessary Safely and effectively use all necessary tools and equipment Stand and walk for an entire shift, including moving safely through all areas of the restaurant
