Description We are seeking a Customer Service Representative to join our team in the non-profit industry, located in Kendallville, Indiana. The primary function of this role is to ensure efficient processing of client intake and eligibility determination for our programs, while promoting a positive and friendly work environment. This role also involves engaging with various human service organizations, utility companies, childcare providers, and other entities for referral, outreach, and advocacy services. Responsibilities: - Determine eligibility and enroll families into our programs, ensuring compliance with program operations, regulations, and standards. - Foster collaboration with other departments, programs, and services to maximize benefits to families. - Represent our organization at county inter-agency meetings and other local events. - Implement our organization's values at all times. - Proactively engage in the improvement processes of our organization, attending all staff meetings, and professional development trainings. - Maintain a high standard of quality within our established guidelines. - Act as a representative for our organization at county events. - Manage and maintain client appointment completions set annually by Program management. - Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues efficiently. - Monitor client accounts and take appropriate action when necessary. Requirements - Proficient in customer service skills, including the ability to manage customer expectations and deliver an exceptional customer experience. - Experience with switchboard operations, specifically with managing 1-10 lines. - Proficient in data entry, with a strong attention to detail and accuracy. - Experience in data migration, including the ability to ensure data integrity during the migration process. - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. - Ability to work in a fast-paced, non-profit environment. - Problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure. - Ability to work well in a team, demonstrating cooperation and mutual respect. - Proactive in identifying and resolving issues before they escalate. - Good organizational skills, with the ability to juggle multiple tasks and priorities. - Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and customer relationship management software. - Flexibility to work in different shifts, including weekends and holidays, if required. - High school diploma or equivalent required; a degree in a relevant field is a plus.
