Position Description We're looking for a skilled building engineer to perform hands-on building maintenance and repairs, monitor the performance of our buildings, and suggest and make replacements when needed. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable with building systems, able to perform hands-on maintenance, repairs and replacements of building systems, a self-starter, motivated, organized and will be handy with a wide variety of tools and equipment. A positive, can-do, team approach is a must. Job duties will include: * Perform scheduled maintenance and repairs on commercial buildings, equipment and grounds * Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair and perform scheduled maintenance on HVAC and building equipment such as blower motors, heat pumps, furnaces, boilers and cooling towers * Manage, monitor and adjust energy management systems * Suggest and advise owners, clients, managers and team members on maintenance, repair and replacements of equipment and building systems * Maintain and repair vehicles and maintenance equipment * Prioritize and manage daily work schedules * Respond to and complete work order requests * Provide customer service to tenants and building owners * Purchase tools and supplies as needed * Communicate with outside vendors * Update property managers with work performed and provide suggestions regarding repairs or replacements * Respond to after-hours calls as needed * Other duties as assigned Qualifications Ideal candidate should have a minimum of five years of building maintenance experience. This position requires some local travel between properties; therefore, candidate should have valid MN Driver's license. Uniform, smart phone, company vehicle, clothing allowance and tools are provided.
