Job DescriptionEssential Duties and Responsibilities:Greet each member and guest promptly, enthusiastically and with a smile to create a friendly positive entrance into the clubGreet all incoming guests and say "Good-bye" to all outgoing guestsCheck each member in using the proper check-in proceduresMonitor check-ins to identify delinquent accounts and follow the proper procedure in the event of a delinquencyRegister all guests into the club using proper registration proceduresEnsure that guests and appointments are directed to the appropriate fitness consultant in a prompt, professional mannerAnswer phone by the third ring in a professional, courteous and enthusiastic manner using the proper phone greetingAddress caller's requests and/or take appropriate messagesRegister all telephone inquiries in the TI register in the Master Production Binder and transfer the call to the appropriate Fitness ConsultantRespond immediately to requests, inquiries and concernsMaintain neat appearance and wear proper uniform attire with nametag while on dutyDistribute towels and other materials as neededProcess all purchases on the Point of Sale SystemPerform End of Shift and End of Day processingPromote and sell merchandiseRestock items and keep coolers and food displays looking fullAssess and keep front desk, retail, drink, supplement display and surrounding areas orderly and cleanFollow proper opening and closing proceduresLog all maintenance concerns as identifiedNotify management of incidents that require incident reportsWork when scheduled and adhere to company attendance policiesAttend all staff meetings as directedPerform other duties as directed by managementExperience and SkillsRequired Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesGenerate, maintain and demonstrate a friendly, enthusiastic, and positive attitudeUnderstanding of basic cash proceduresAbility to handle challenging customer issues with patience, tact and professionalismMust have a high level of professionalism, honesty, integrity and work ethicExhibit a superior sense of customer service at all timesWillingness to work flexible hoursRequired Experience, Education and Certifications Minimum of six months related experienceExcellent communication and customer service skills are requiredUnderstanding of basic cash procedures is requiredBasic computer skills are requiredCurrent CPR certification and basic first aid training within 60 days of hirePhysical Requirements Position duties require standing for long periods of time, daily walking, sitting, lifting, bending, squatting and reaching.The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
