GUPSHUP is a vibrant, modern Indian food concept based out of Grammercy in Manhattan. We have been operating since past 6 years and have created a name for itself among the locals as well as the Indian diaspora. Having launched new concepts like CHOTE MIYA, AMMI and BUNGALOW; GUPSHUP Group has created a niche for itself in the Indian dining scene of New York. We are looking for a passionate individual with a love for food and hospitality, someone self motivated, organized and hard working for a challenging and long term role. We are a growing company and the individual will have direct communication with the ownership in making decisions, day to day operations, service standards and exposure in the growth and expansion of the business. Food and wine knowledge is a must Indian cuisine knowledge preferred, but not a must. Manage day to day operations during scheduled shifts - weekly schedules, employee training and support, guest interaction, and planning while upholding standards Maintaining weekly staff schedules - knowledge of 7shifts is preferred, but not required Experience developing standard operating procedures within the food and beverage industry In charge of FOH service and maintaining staff training Maintain discipline and standards of service Setting opening and closing procedures Certification in NYC food handlers license a plus Please paste your resume in the body of the email and with a short cover letter detailing why you are suited for the role.
