Role: Busser / Server Assistant Responsible for: Assisting servers and ensuring the efficient operation of the dining area. Maintaining cleanliness and organization of server stations and tables. Delivering excellent service by supporting the front-of-house team and attending to guest needs promptly and courteously. Reports to: Operations Managers General Scope: The busser will operate in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, supporting the service staff and enhancing guest experiences. They will maintain high standards of cleanliness, organization, and service, ensuring the dining area is always ready for guests. The role requires effective multitasking, communication, and organizational skills to handle peak service times while fostering a pleasant guest experience. Primary Responsibilities: Sanitize, organize, and restock server and polishing stations. Polish and store plates, silverware, and glassware. Set up the floor and tables for service, large parties, and events. Mark, crumb, clear, disinfect, and set up tables throughout service. Sanitize, sweep and spot clean the restaurant throughout service. Help with the setup / breakdown and cleanup of the floor before and after service. Provide efficient water service to all tables. Follow proper tray-handling procedures. Maintain efficient and friendly service standards. Additional Responsibilities: Strictly adhere to health code guidelines. Maintain a basic understanding of the menu, including daily specials, allergens, and dietary restrictions. Ensure complete execution of and adherence to proper allergy procedure. Support running food and drinks to guests in a professional and timely manner as needed. Handle guest inquiries and requests courteously and efficiently. Effectively communicate guest issues or operational concerns. Follow and execute all side work lists provided by the company. Assist team members as needed. Participate in team meetings and training sessions as required. Perform other duties as assigned by the manager. Be well-organized, detail-oriented and socially perceptive. License Requirements: Valid food handler certification preferred TIPS Certification preferred Requirements: Have the ability to work fast and efficiently under pressure Have the ability to multi-task and handle high-volume Must be able to stand for extended periods of time Must be able to lift 30 lbs Must be able to perform repetitive bending, stopping, twisting, and lifting of products and supplies
