CSI's Core Values:Show up hungry.Don't accept average.Think independently.Lift as one.Job purposeTruck Technician are responsible for the inspection, diagnosis, repair and maintenance of various Truck equipment including over the road trucks (Mack, Volvo, Peterbilt), and trailers. Must have experience as a mechanic with Mack a Peterbilt trucksDuties and responsibilitiesExamines parts for damage or excessive wear using micrometers and gaugesTests mechanical, electronic, electrical and hydraulic products and equipment after repair or modification to ensure proper operation and compliance with OEM specificationsPrepares for jobs by checking parts and drawings for accuracy and completenessMaintain conformity to safety requirements and other regulationsProperly fills out working reports, hour's reports, timesheets, hour's overviews, work orders, and expense reportsRepairs and DOT compliance.Shop safety and cleanlinessQualificationsA minimum of 3 years of experience as a Truck and Trailer technician Experience working with heavy equipment is preferred - including Mack/Volvo/Peterbilt Trucks, trailers, forkliftsReads and understands operating manuals, parts manuals, blueprints and technical drawingsValid driver's license and satisfactory driving recordPossess a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalentMust be able to pass a drug test, background check, and fit for duty testFlexibility to work overtime when necessaryTravel is required periodically for 1-to-4-day intervalsField Service Experience preferred.Working conditionsLifting, carrying, reaching, pushing, and/or pulling; climbing and balancing; frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; and significant finger dexterity necessary.• Ability to lift 70 lbs.• Ability to operate a forklift safely. • Must be able to pass a pre-employment WorkSTEPS physical. • Requires passing a pre-employment background check and drug screen to the satisfaction of ML Crane Group.• This position is exposed to work near moving mechanical parts, and moderate noise levels.• Must a possess a clean MVR & valid Driver's License • This job requires the ability to obtain a DOT Medical Certification.• Requires working and driving outdoors in various climates/temperatures and the possibility of sitting for an extended period.The employee may be required to wear appropriate PPE equipment. The employee could occasionally be exposed to extreme temperatures, fumes, or airborne particles.
