Specific Duties and Responsibilities: * General Leasing Responsibilities: Perform the Leasing Professional's job requirements. Answer telephones. * Handle telephone calls from prospective residents and document telephone calls in Yardi. * Greet prospective residents and guests. * Show model and market-ready apartment homes and document all activity in Yardi. * Ensure guests and residents are informed about the customer feedback opportunities available to them. * Assist prospective residents with the completion of the application. Check for completeness. * Make sure applicants understand deposit and fee policies. * Determine the move-in date and unit desired. * Collect deposits and/or fees. Verify application information as needed and make recommendations to the Community Manager about applicant qualifications. * Complete lease documents (including all addenda) as necessary. Explain the lease to the applicant and have them sign it. * Deliver to the Community Manager for review and signature. Make appropriate entries to computer and/or status reports. * Complete all move-in details. Prepare, and provide residents with, a move-in package. Review completed lease paperwork. * After verifying new locks are in place, verify resident has all required keys. Provide a copy of the lease and all appropriate documents to the resident. * Conduct apartment move-in inspection with the new resident. * Collect any deposits, fees, or rent due before allowing occupancy. Initiate computer information, including: * Lease beginning and ending dates. Amount of rent per the lease. Deposits or fees required including pet fees. * Names of all occupants, pertinent demographic information, i.e., household income, occupation, etc. Experience/ Qualifications: * Customer service attitude and approach. * High school diploma or GED. * At least 2 years experience in the multi-family apartment industry. * Yardi experience is a plus. * Business school, college, marketing, or other accredited courses in sales and marketing helpful. * Proven leadership capabilities Employment Eligibility Verification * Must possess valid documentation to establish identity and U.S. employment eligibility. * Submission to, and ability to pass, a thorough pre-employment background check and drug screening is a requirement for employment.
