Job Scope: Account Manager - Resource Consultancy in the US Energy Industry (Upstream and Midstream LNG Sectors) Position Overview: The Account Manager will be responsible for driving growth and expanding the resource consultancy business within the US energy industry, with a specific focus on the upstream and midstream liquefied natural gas (LNG) sectors. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong networking capabilities and an in-depth understanding of the energy market dynamics. The role will be based in Houston, TX with the capability to visit clients as needed. Key Responsibilities: 1. Market Analysis and Strategy Development: * Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape within the upstream and midstream LNG sectors. * Develop and implement strategic business development plans to achieve growth targets and enhance market presence. 2. Client Relationship Management: * Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including energy companies, regulatory bodies, and industry associations. * Engage with existing clients to ensure satisfaction and identify opportunities for additional services. 3. Lead Generation and Sales: * Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking, industry events, and targeted outreach. * Prepare and deliver persuasive presentations and proposals to potential clients, showcasing the company's consultancy services. 4. Collaboration with Internal Teams: * Work closely with technical and operational teams to ensure alignment on project delivery and client expectations. * Provide feedback to internal teams on market needs and client requirements to enhance service offerings. 5. Industry Engagement and Representation: * Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to promote services and build brand awareness. * Stay updated on industry developments, regulations, and emerging technologies affecting the upstream and midstream sectors. 6. Performance Tracking and Reporting: * Monitor and report on business development activities, sales performance, and market trends to senior management. * Analyze data to assess the effectiveness of business development strategies and adjust plans as necessary. 7. Budget Management: * Develop and manage the business development budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources for maximum impact. 8. Training and Development: * Mentor and train junior business development staff to enhance their skills and effectiveness in client engagement and market analysis. Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field * Proven experience in business development within the energy sector, specifically in upstream and midstream LNG. * Strong understanding of the US energy market, regulatory environment, and industry trends. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels. * Strategic mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. * Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
