Maintenance TechnicianOur client is one of the largest manufacturers of paperboard and paper-based packaging for some of the world's most recognized brands of food, beverage, food-service, household, personal care and pet products. SummaryThis is a skilled trade position responsible for safely and efficiently maintaining, repairing, and installing all machinery in the plant. In addition, general and building maintenance is assigned to this Mechanic position..Duties• Look up parts and work with OEMs• Read mechanical and electrical schematics• Use the computer to process work notifications (SAP)• Qualify to operate a forklift, aerial boom lift and scissor lift• Work on platforms approximately 15 feet above the ground level• Participate in technical training on or off site• Strong electrical engineering backgroundAreas of responsibility may include:• Welding• Hydraulics• Pneumatics• Basic electrical circuits• Basic electrical installation• Basic prints, e.g., assembly drawings, parts drawings• Power transmission• Bearings• Basic machine shop work• Thread pipeRequirementsAssociates degree in Engineering Technology, Automated Systems, Electronics Technician or equivalentKnowledge of and ability to test, troubleshoot and service all types of electrical equipment including AC and DC drives, PLC's and their associated control networks and I/OExperience testing, maintaining, and calibrating electrical equipment using sound troubleshooting and creative problem-solving skillsAbility to work any shift (including nights & weekends, up to 12-hour shifts)Ability to work overtime as assignedStrong organizational and communication skills2 years of work experience in an electrical / mechanical maintenance settingShift: Must be able to work 8 hour shifts plus overtime as required.Employee must be willing to work alternate schedules occasionally; that may include early mornings, nights, and/or weekends and be punctual while doing so.Pay: Up to $36 Depending on Experience and QualificationsApply OnlineOrCall: 971.371.4028OrSend your resume to: portlandwest@PrideStaff Portland is a locally owned and operated Staffing Agency.
