*Opportunity to work closely with 2 surgeons at 2 different locations (Oxford, NC and Brier Creek, Raleigh, NC). Practice locations are approximately 40 minutes apart, with a patient population of all characteristics. Many of our staff have been with us for 10+ years and we are looking for a good, long term fit to join our family!**Generic job description is below:*Duties:- Conduct comprehensive eye examinations to assess visual acuity and detect any abnormalities or diseases.- Prescribe corrective lenses or recommend other forms of treatment, such as medication or surgery, based on the individual needs of patients.- Diagnose and manage various eye conditions, including glaucoma, cataracts, and macular degeneration.- Provide pre- and post-operative care for patients undergoing eye surgery.- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure optimal outcomes.- Educate patients on proper eye care practices and answer any questions or concerns they may have.- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records using electronic medical record systems,.- Stay informed about the latest advancements in optometry and participate in continuing education to enhance knowledge and skills.Skills:- Doctor of Optometry degree from an accredited optometry program.- Valid state license to practice optometry.- Excellent clinical skills and ability to diagnose and manage a wide range of eye conditions.- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages.- Proficiency in using electronic medical record systems.- Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain accurate and organized medical records.- Sales skills to effectively recommend and sell eyewear products to patients.As an Optometrist at our practice, you will have the opportunity to provide comprehensive eye care services to patients of all ages.
