The ideal candidate will have a strong background in public accounting, tax, and business services. This position offers the opportunity to oversee and lead a team of dynamic tax professionals. You will play a critical role in managing client relationships, providing expert guidance on tax matters, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and delivering high-quality services.Duties:Client Relationship Management:* Serve as primary point of contact for key clients, building, and maintaining strong relationships.* Understand client needs and provide proactive tax planning and advisory services to optimize their financial positions.* Collaborate with clients to identify opportunities for improving tax efficiency, minimizing risk, and maximizing financial performance.* Address client concerns and issues in a timely and professional matter.Tax Services:* Oversee tax compliance processes, including the preparation and review of tax returns.* Stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws, regulations, and accounting practices to ensure accurate and timely tax planning and reporting.* Advise clients on tax strategies, opportunities, and potential risks to optimize their tax positions.Accounting & Business Services* Be able to complete and supervise monthly accounting clients.* Perform analytical procedures on financials and be able to explain account variances.* Communicate effectively with clients and staff.Requirements:- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation recommended but not required.- Minimum of 3 years of experience in public accounting with a focus on tax services and/or business services- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to build and maintain client relationships effectively.-Strong knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and accounting principles.-Experience leading and managing teams in a professional services environment.- Proficiency in account reconciliation, debits, credits, and budgeting- Strong knowledge of accounting software, particularly QuickBooks and Lacerte preferred.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines effectivelyThis position offers competitive compensation and benefits, along with the opportunity for professional growth and development.
