Our Ideal candidate is a team player who strives to deliver a 5 star experience and relishes in the success of his patients and the team.Check you match the skill requirements for this role, as well as associated experience, then apply with your CV below.*What you'll do:*- Perform comprehensive eye examinations to assess visual acuity in accordance with Black Optical's protocol and standards of care- Ensure accuracy in taking measurements and diagnosing treating various ocular conditions- Prescribe and fit corrective lenses, including glasses and contact lenses, based on patient needs- Educate and explain eye health, eyewear and prescription terminology to patient, including the use of contact lenses and eyeglasses- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records of patient examinations and treatments- Act as a representative of our brand and stay updated on the latest advancements in optometry through continuing education and professional development*Who you are:*- Strong knowledge of ocular anatomy, physiology, and pathology- Proficiency in medical coding and billing procedures- Excellent sales skills to effectively communicate with patients about eyewear options- Familiarity with aseptic techniques for maintaining a sterile environment during procedures- Ability to navigate electronic medical records systems efficiently- Knowledge of ophthalmology equipment and diagnostic tools- Experience in providing care for senior patients- Understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality- Exceptional patient care skills to provide a comfortable and positive experience for patients*About Us:*Black Optical is a premier eyewear retailer that has been providing high-quality glasses and sunglasses since 2007. As an Optometrist, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive eye care services to patients. This includes conducting eye examinations, diagnosing and treating eye conditions, prescribing corrective lenses, and educating patients on proper eye care.The ideal candidate will have a minimum 5 years in a luxury setting performing comprehensive eye exams and contact fittings with a strong background in customer service, and experience with EyeMed, Spectera & Davis vision plans. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that they meet and exceed key performance indicators (KPIs).
