Certified Public Accountant (CPA)

*CPA: Tax and Audit*If you want to know about the requirements for this role, read on for all the relevant information.Grady CPAs, PC, a growing firm located in Rhinebeck, NY, is currently seeking a self-motivated team player with 2+ years of recent public accounting experience to lead audit, financial statement and tax engagements for privately held, small to mid-size businesses, business owners and non-profit organizations. Working directly with clients while providing business consulting and strategies for growth, you will assist with audit and financial statement engagements for condominiums, homeowner associations and non-profit organizations; prepare corporate and individual tax returns; complete tax planning and research and cultivate professional client relationships.*Minimum Qualifications*:* Bachelor's Degree in accounting or equivalent* CPA license or on track to obtain CPA license* 2+ years of recent public accounting experience encompassing progressive scope and responsibilities* Fundamental knowledge of GAAP* Detail and deadline oriented* Strong communication, organizational, analytical, problem solving, client service, leadership and PC skills including Microsoft Office and accounting software proficiency* Ability to professionally lead accounting engagements, identify and resolve complex accounting issues, juggle multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment*Responsibilities*:* Perform attestation engagements including compilations, reviews, and audits in accordance with professional standards* Lead preparation of financial statements, footnote disclosures and management letter comments* Regularly communicate with clients to request necessary materials for completion of engagements* Perform accounting and tax research* Preparation of tax returns*We Offer:** Competitive Base Salaries* Paid Time Off, Sick Time and Holidays* Health insurance* Simple IRA with employer match* Life Insurance* CPA licensure support; additional applicable certifications and licenses may also qualify for support/reimbursementIn addition, we offer significant opportunity for long-term professional growth, and opportunity to work on engagements in all phases of accounting, while learning from the firm's professional leadership in a friendly, supportive, and collaborative work environment.The above is intended to describe the general content of and requirements for the performance of this job.
