Pediatric Dental Hygienist

Caring Smiles is looking to add a dynamic Registered Dental Hygienist to our amazing team of professionals. As a Pediatric Dental Hygienist you would need to be skilled in establishing a positive and trusting relationship with patients that range in age from birth through college, including special needs. You will be responsible for promoting and educating about proper oral hygiene and good dietary habits in a fun, yet professional manner. You will conduct initial patient health screenings, perform prophylaxis and fluoride treatments, place preventive dental sealants, take digital radiographs, and practice the highest levels of infection control. Our goal is to make our patients and parents smile each and every day. We are looking for a hygienist that is happy, friendly, great energy, and enjoys working with kids. Ideal candidate will have experience performing all hygiene tasks including taking radiographs, and managing the office infection control plan to meet OSHA, CDC and ADA standards. Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:Any additional information you require for this job can be found in the below text Make sure to read thoroughly, then apply.Prepares, sterilizes, organizes, and sets up dental equipment, ensures that all dental instruments are cleaned, dated, and processed according to established office guidelines and standards. · Promotes dental health by completing dental prophylaxis, providing oral cancer screening and charting conditions of decay and disease Completes dental prophylaxis by cleaning deposits and stains from teeth and from beneath gum margins. · Prepares treatment room for patient by adhering to prescribed procedures and protocols. Provides oral hygiene and plaque control instructions and postoperative instructions and providing reminders of time of next dental hygiene visit. · Participating in marketing, community outreach, and assist in increasing the overall profile of the practice in the community.MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS: Current state license. 1+ years' experience pediatric experience preferred Understanding of HIPPA and OSHA guidelines.
