We pride ourselves on being team-oriented and are looking for an individual who is compassionate, self-driven and looking for a long-term dental home. .Schedule:Mon: 8-5; Tues: 8-6; Wed: 8-6; Thurs: 8-4, Fri: 8-12Our work environment includes:* Modern office setting* Relaxed atmosphere* Company perks* Safe work environmentResponsibilities:- Perform dental hygiene procedures, including cleaning teeth, removing plaque, and applying fluoride treatments- Take and develop dental x-rays- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized oral care instructions- Assist the dentist during procedures by handing them instruments and maintaining a sterile field- Update and maintain patient medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations- Perform patient assessments, including taking vital signs and recording medical history- Assist with dental office administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments and managing patient records- Follow aseptic techniques to ensure infection control in the dental officeQualifications:- Valid dental hygiene license in [CT]- Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program- Strong knowledge of dental hygiene procedures and practices- Familiarity with medical coding and documentation- Proficiency in using dental office software systems for record keeping and appointment scheduling- Excellent communication skills to educate patients on oral health practices- Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with other dental professionals- Attention to detail and strong organizational skillsSkills:- Systems: Proficient in using dental office software systems for record keeping and appointment scheduling.- Medical records: Update and maintain patient medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.- HIPAA: Ensure patient privacy by adhering to HIPAA regulations.- Dental office: Assist with dental office administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments and managing patient records.- Vital signs: Take vital signs of patients during assessments.- Patient assessment: Conduct thorough assessments of patients' oral health.- Medical coding: Familiarity with medical coding for billing purposes.- Medical documentation: Accurately document patient information and treatment plans.- Aseptic technique: Follow strict infection control protocols to maintain a sterile environment.- Dental assisting: Assist the dentist during procedures by handing them instruments and maintaining a sterile field.Job Types: Full-time, ContractPay: $43.00 - $50.00 per hourExpected hours: 37 per weekBenefits:* 401(k)* 401(k) matching* Employee discount* Flexible schedule* Health insurance* Paid time off* Retirement planSchedule:* 4 hour shift* 8 hour shift* Day shift* Monday to Friday* No weekendsAbility to Relocate:* Durham, CT 06422: Relocate before starting work (Required)Work Location: In person
