We are seeking an experienced Cardiac Care Unit RN. This role involves utilizing the nursing process to provide direct patient care and ensuring adherence to hospital and nursing department standards. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in trauma care and be proficient in advanced clinical procedures.Read all the information about this opportunity carefully, then use the application button below to send your CV and application.*Key Responsibilities:** *Patient Care:** Assess immediate and ongoing care needs.* Develop comprehensive care plans, including physical needs, patient teaching, and discharge planning.* Provide direct patient care and supervise care provided by other nursing personnel.* *Team Coordination:** Coordinate the overall plan of care with the multidisciplinary team.* Establish care priorities and ensure timely provision of therapeutic modalities.* Communicate patient responses to the team and reassess as necessary.* *Supervision and Training:** Supervise licensed practical nurses (LPNs), registered nurses on permit (RNP), nursing attendants, technicians, and supplemental staff.* Participate in the orientation and training of nursing staff.* Serve as a clinical resource for student nurses.* *Quality Improvement:** Participate in quality improvement activities related to patient care and nursing standards.* Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff.* *Professional Development:** Engage in continuous professional growth and education.* Participate in research and pilot projects supported by the Nursing Department.*Required Qualifications:** Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)* 3-5 years' experience in a Level I or II Trauma Center* Certifications: TCAR, BLS, ACLS* Proficiency in CRRT, Impella, Swan-Ganz, A-lines, vent/tracheostomy and gastrostomy tubes, and medication titration*Preferred Qualifications:** Certifications: CCRN, TCRN*Skills and Abilities:** Strong interpersonal and communication skills* Ability to manage stressful situations and facilitate team collaboration* Competence in using electronic health records and healthcare billing systemsJob Type: ContractPay: $68.00 - $72.00 per hourBenefits:* Health insurancePhysical setting:* Acute care* HospitalStandard shift:* Day shiftWeekly schedule:* 3x12* Rotating weekendsEducation:* Bachelor's (Required)Experience:* Level I/II Trauma Center: 3 years (Required)License/Certification:* NYS RN License (Required)* BLS, ACLS and TCAR Certification (Required)Work Location: In person
