However, the Tennessee nursing license will be a single state license for Tennessee Residents or non-compact state residents. Tennessee licensure or multistate licensure from a compact state must be obtained within three months of hire for non-Tennessee residents.Preferred:Certification in area of specialtyDepartment Position Summary:The Nurse Manager Surgery has responsibility for the daily clinical coordination of personnel and resource management in a fiscally responsible manner. The incumbent is also responsible for collaborating with the anesthesia staff and ancillary departments to effectively manage, facilitate, and complete surgical cases for elective, urgent, and emergent surgical procedures. This team member is accountable for quality patient care and the orientation, education, growth, and performance of those reporting to them.The Nurse Manager Surgery must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span.This individual also contributes to nursing and Erlanger Health System through support of the philosophy and objectives.
