Industrial Maintenance TechnicianLocation: Melrose Park, ILAbout Us:Join our rapidly growing snack food manufacturing company as we expand our operations due to increasing business demands. We're setting up a state-of-the-art facility in Melrose Park, IL, and are looking to hire an entire maintenance department from scratch. Competitive Pay: Earn between $32 - $42 per hour, based on your electrical experience and education.Key Responsibilities: Safety and Quality Goals: Achieve plant objectives in safety, quality, cost, and customer care. Preventative Maintenance: Perform daily and weekly preventative maintenance (PMs) to ensure equipment is operating optimally. Troubleshooting: Efficiently troubleshoot and repair equipment to maximize efficiencies and minimize downtime. Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and repair all operational equipment, including both electrical and mechanical troubleshooting. Installation Support: Assist with equipment installations as our operations expand.What We're Looking For: Experience: 5+ years in maintenance manufacturing, preferably in foods, plastics, CPG, or high-speed manufacturing environments. Technical Skills: Strong mechanical and electrical skills, including experience with PLC troubleshooting, hydraulics, pneumatics, electric motors, pumps, valves, belts, pulleys, gearboxes, conveyors, electrical wiring (120/240/480), AC/DC, control voltage, conduit running, wire pulling, and 3-phase motors. Blueprint Reading: Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics. Personal Qualities: Self-motivated, positive attitude, energetic, punctual, hardworking, and eager to be part of a cohesive team.Preferred Qualifications: Industry Knowledge: Specific experience in the food manufacturing industry. Education: Associates degree or other technical disciplines/related maintenance certifications.
