Job Title Account Executive Summary/Objective As a quota-bearing/commissioned employee, the Account Executive's primary role is to develop new relationships, identify fresh opportunities, and secure contracts in a targeted manner that aligns with our corporate objectives. In essence, their success is measured by their ability to drive sales and generate revenue. Within their designated sector and/or region, they focus on selling AEC services and equipment systems. By collaborating with team members to implement strategic plans, they not only build and maintain client relationships but also actively seek out new clients and opportunities. Staying abreast of industry trends is key, as is the ability to communicate effectively to foster growth and meet the company's financial goals. Essential Functions * Sales Acumen: Developing and executing plans to achieve sales targets ($10M+) * Relationship Building: Cultivating strong, long-lasting relationships with clients and understanding their business needs. * Industry Awareness: Staying informed about industry trends and landscapes. * Effective Communication: Presenting value propositions through presentations and proposals. * Reporting: Providing insights on strategic account directions and budgets. Competencies * Member of NAIOP: Actively participates in industry associations, staying informed about trends and networking opportunities. * Experience in Technical Project Management or Business Development for a large AEC company: Demonstrates expertise in these areas relevant to design-build projects. * Client-Centric Approach: Regularly visit clients, both in and outside the office, to understand their needs and build strong relationships. * Existing Relationships: Brings valuable industry connections to urban-gro. * Agility and Adaptability: Embraces change, learns from failures, and seizes new opportunities. * Effective CRM Usage: Keeps customer relationship management (CRM) systems updated. * Collaborative Team Player: Contributes positively to cross-functional teams across the country. Required Education Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field. Additional Qualifications Minimum 10 years of experience in the AEC industry, with a proven track record of achieving revenue targets. Possession of a valid driver's license required. Work Environment This role operates remotely, allowing flexibility depending on the office location. Travel will be necessary to support sales and business development initiatives across the country. Physical Demands The physical demands for this position include regular talking and listening. Additionally, the employee may need to stand, walk, use hands, and reach with arms. Position Type and Hours This is a full-time position with non-standard working based on schedule demands. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required based on job duties. Travel Travel requirements will vary and will be determined as needed.
