THE OPPORTUNITY: Yesway is seeking a Regional Real Estate Development Manager to join our growing team. In this newly added role, the Regional Real Estate Development Manager will be a key player in our growth strategy. * Perform all facets of convenience store and fueling site selection in assigned markets; * Perform extensive market and site level research to identify new sites for development, as well as to evaluate existing sites for raze and rebuild opportunities; * Review market trends, conduct market and site visits, and compile competitive set analyses; * Understand the development process and identify potential challenges, both within assigned markets and with respect to individual sites; * Develop and maintain relationships with municipalities, such as City Staff, City Council, Planning & Zoning Commissions, Boards of Adjustment and City Mayors in order to obtain municipal support for various site developments; * Provide direction and feedback to the Site Development team during the design and city approval phase; * Develop and maintain relationships with top brokers in markets of interest; and * Prepare site tours for market visits with senior management as needed. YOU MIGHT BE A GOOD FIT IF YOU HAVE: * Five years of Commercial Real Estate development experience; * Previous experience in managing broker relationships; * Exceptional negotiation skills to meet the needs of internal and external customers and drive our strategy; * Strong communication skills, allowing for clear written and oral delivery of information to various audiences; * The ability to assess a problem and develop solutions that progress us toward achieving strategic goals; and * Ability to travel independently by car or air up to 50% of the time
