Job DescriptionThis position will be responsible for driving the successful execution of CVS/pharmacy's most critical and complex IT initiatives and programs via close partnership with CVS/pharmacy executives and senior leaders. This Portfolio Delivery Manager will be responsible for helping scope major strategic initiatives and guiding their end-to-end execution to ensure business-driven results and transformative outcomes.The position supports enterprise-wide goals to significantly improve IT project delivery in: execution speed and effectiveness, driving a consistent approach, and understanding and supporting the unique business requirements of CVS/pharmacy. This position will be part of a team of Program Managers and Project Managers taking accountability for the most important and complex IT projects and programs, working to ensure the goals are achieved. In close partnership and collaboration with Business Leaders outside of IT, this position will be accountable for elements of program management, coordination and execution. It will be essential that this Portfolio Delivery Manager not only have outstanding program management skills, but also exceptional interpersonal, communication and relationship building skills.The successful candidate will possess broad business acumen in addition to the theoretical and practical application of multiple program management and software delivery life cycle (SDLC) methodologies, such as Agile, Scaled Agile and Scrum. Outstanding partnership with management and communication skills are essential, as is the ability to influence across the enterprise.Knowledge and Skills Background in IT program management and execution. Demonstrated ability to drive large-scale change management within a complex organization. Exceptionally strong attention to details. Outstanding analytical and problem solving skills, and experience applying these skills to resolve technical issues. Proven experience managing risks and issues across projects and programs. Expert collaboration and partnership capabilities. Ability to build trust and relationships up, down, and across the organization. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to operate effectively in a large, complex, and diverse global organization. Skill in focusing on desired results, determining what is important and urgent, clarifying next steps, and delegating effectively to meet deadlines and achieve desired results. Ability to adhere to the highest ethical standards including honesty, integrity, dedication, and leadership.Pay RangeThe typical pay range for this role is:Minimum: 115,000Maximum: 230,000Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.Required Qualifications10+ years of experience leading program management efforts within large, complex environments.8+ years experience managing a team and working effectively and efficiently in a highly-matrixed global organization.8+ years Hands-on experience using a wide variety of program and project management tools and techniques.Preferred Qualifications Demonstrated track record of successfully planning and managing large-scale project implementations from start to finish. Operate in a global, highly complex and fast changing environment. Work directly with internal clients at all levels (e.g., finance, customer service, sales and marketing) and external vendors. Ability to prioritize business initiatives and resource allocation recommendations and deployment. Ability to align, manage, and track change across multiple programs. Lead by adopting organizational change and managing change throughout the organization. Prioritize business initiatives and ensure resource allocations support business prioritizations.
