Job DescriptionCVS Health has a robust collaboration and streaming strategy that is centered around a hyper-distributed end-user experience. Leveraging Qumu's cloud-based platform and Pathfinder Edge solution, the Streaming Engineer partners with key internal and external stakeholders to implement and support holistic, congruent, and secure live streaming and video on demand solutions that provide a superior customer experience for all lines of business across the Enterprise.The Streaming Engineer leads project and enhancement work to continuously improve the adoption and security of the Streaming platform, as well as the overall health, extensibility, and performance of the Streaming solution, inclusive of user and support documentation.Responsibilities: Work with business partners, application leads, project management resources and other stakeholders to develop Streaming (live and on-demand recordings) architecture and design deliverables Provide architecture recommendations that are in-line with the strategic vision of Enterprise-wide best practices Research and replication of issues, perform analysis of the root cause of problems and provide technical assistance to Support staff Design, develop, document, test, configure, troubleshoot and perform preventative maintenance for Streaming platform Ensure that information and technical assistance is provided to customers in accordance with established policies & procedures Work closely with other teams through product lifecycle including Streaming Operations, Network Engineering, vendor management, and service provider(s) Provide Tier 3 Engineering and Design support for Streaming issues Technical ownership of the Enterprise Streaming platform, including creation and dissemination of support documentation and training of support personnelPay RangeThe typical pay range for this role is:Minimum: 115,000Maximum: 230,000Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.Required Qualifications 5+ years in a customer-facing technical role 5+ years experience with the Qumu streaming platform 3+ years experience with, and demonstrated knowledge of, Streaming application software/products including cloud-based offerings Exceptional communication (verbal and written) skills Ability to work independently, learn quickly and be proactive Organized and detail-oriented approach to planning, execution, and troubleshooting/supporting of production streaming infrastructure Excellent problem solving, critical thinking and analytical skills, with strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to collaborate with minimal guidance in both business and technical environments Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks Demonstrated critical thinking and decision-making skillsPreferred Qualifications- Experience with Load Balancers (F5, Microsoft NLB) and clustering - Experience with network protocol layers, security layers and domain models - Strong Understanding of video content management- Basic Understanding of mobile technologies (mobile phones, tablets) - Familiarity with virtualization technology (VMWare, etc.) - Support experience, particularly desktop and/or browser support- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to adapt to and change priorities as business needs changeEducationBachelor's Degree in Computer Science or other technical fieldBusiness OverviewBring your heart to CVS Health Every one of us at CVS Health shares a single, clear purpose: Bringing our heart to every moment of your health.
