Job DescriptionThis position provides strategic direction for the development and management of the Project Management Office department, including standard tools and processes that adhere to project management professional practices. This position: Is the front door to the PMO Organization requiring scoping of new initiatives, setting and managing expectations among stakeholders Manages the portfolio of projects for a single or several departments, certain large-scale client implementations, or the implementation of a new product or service. This includes ensuring project and program alignment with business benefits/value; assignment of project and program managers to projects and programs; launching of new projects or helping project/program managers in the launch of new projects; reporting of progress at the department portfolio level; driving the yearly planning cycle; establishment of project measurements; maintenance of relationships with department leadership, other staff organizations (i.e. Finance, IT/TI, etc.), Program/Project level Steering Committees; and conducting of quality reviews for projects and programs. This position provides portfolio level strategic communications for business partners. Will have responsibility for managing direct employees as well as contractors and vendors. Adheres to and trains employees on the Operations Project Delivery methodology, Project Management professional practices and standard tools and will contribute to practice development in enhancing the standard tool kit. Provides leadership to the department to ensure projects are delivered in alignment with corporate objectives using industry standards to ensure excellence. Drives the development of concepts and analyses to bring a project or program through the funding cycle and coordinates the efforts of a cross unit/cross company teams that can include Customer Care, Mail Services, Clinical Ops, Benefits, Disease Mgmt, IT/TI, Product Development, Finance, HR, Procurement, and other corporate organizations. May oversee day-to-day aspects of strategic corporate programs to ensure each program is on-time within budget with a high level of quality while delivering all key milestones and deliverables and adhering to project management standards and guidelines; it covers estimates, requirements, design, construction, test, deployment and benefit tracking. This position will communicate and resolve program level issues, using appropriate change control, escalation, risk control, and other PMO processes and will support organization process improvement teams. Will be responsible for interfacing and communicating directly with Senior Leaders from different areas of the company.Pay RangeThe typical pay range for this role is:Minimum: 100,000Maximum: 221,000Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.Required Qualifications 10 years experience in managing complex projects or equivalent experience 5 years experience in a supervisory level role, leading and managing a diverse group of direct or indirect managers while also providing them coaching and mentoring Proven ability to manage a variety of projects with varying levels of complexity to successful completion.
