Job DescriptionThe Aetna Signature Administrators (ASA) Stop Loss Underwriting team prices and preforms risk review of new business and/or renewal Aetna stop loss business. The Sr. Analyst, Underwriter will make underwriting decisions impacting a significant percentage of the business and will directly impact the department's profitability and future success. ASA is a high-growth wholesale distribution channel for Aetna which provides self-funded plan sponsors access to Aetna's National PPO network along with Aetna's stop loss insurance products via the Third Party Administrator (TPA) market.Pay RangeThe typical pay range for this role is:Minimum: 43,700Maximum: 97,400Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.Required QualificationsStop Loss/Self Funded plan sponsor experience.1-3 years of pricing experience via manual pricing, experienced rating, alternate rating and funding methodologies. Medical background preferred but life, dental, visions are acceptable experience areas. Proven ability to anticipate customer needs and negotiate with customers using tact and diplomacy.
