We are seeking a Media Buyer 1 for a very important client.The role of the media buyer is to partner with the Media Planner and agency Planning team to manage media and non-manpower programs advancing the brand imperatives of agency partners and clients. They buyer will be responsible for managing relationships with publisher partners, societies, digital platforms, etc. They will also be primarily responsible for coordination media planning meetings, billings, and invoicing. Specifically: - Oversees the work of Media Planner by owning status documents and deliverables, trafficking IO and other request forms, and maintaining financial and billing documents - Manage third-party vendor relationships and deliverables - Collect monthly media metrics from vendors in partnership with media analytics team - Works with internal stakeholders, such as Accounts, project managers, and Digital partners, to ensure processes are followed, including creative production, tracking and measurement, etc. Main Areas of Responsibilities: - Responsible for serving as the primary point of contact and support for billing and invoicing - Manage insertion order (IO) creation and monthly billing calendars - Manage back-end media tracking (updating media calendars, material delivery dates, etc.) - Collect media metrics from vendors by agreed-upon date and organize for media analytics - Manage the day-to-day program implementation and optimization in partnership with the media planner - Be a key advisor to Media Planner and Account Planning team about media placements and management across the brands and franchises - Primary point of contact for vendor meeting coordination - In partnership with the analytics team, collect monthly media metrics from vendors Requirement: The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications: The following listed requirements need to be met at a minimum level to be considered for the job: - Minimum of 2+ years of media planning and buying experience - pharmaceutical industry either HCP and DTC preferred but not required - Familiarity with Insertion Orders, and vendor ad specs (print / digital ad placements, ie. print insertions, display banners, html email, etc.) - Understanding of media buying and planning processes, including a strong knowledge of the vendor landscape for print, digital and and tradeshow opportunities - Self-starter who can operate individually and as part of a larger team - Excellent verbal and written communication skills What are the top 3-5 skills requirements should this person have? Experience in Healthcare media (specifically has bought media for Healthcare or pharmaceutical brands, drugs, medical devices, etc as it is different than TV time; print, convention media, non-personal promotion media is okay. HCP or DTC experience preferred but not required) Ability to manage the Invoice Order (IO) and billing processes Understand the back-end of the media buy, everything after the plan to the end of the program, purchasing, tracking and reporting of the medica buy What is a nice to have (but not required) regarding skills, requirements, experience, education, or certification?
