We want to make sure we are both innovative and rigorous as we expand our Audience team to lead audience strategy, insights, development and distribution of CVS first party customers into digital media channels (display, search, social and video) to meet campaigns objectives. At CVS, we partner with brands to help them grow their businesses by connecting them with our loyalty customers via our media exchange. The CMX program enables targeted digital media campaigns that improve shopper experiences with personalized content and support our partners in driving brand awareness and incremental sales in-store and online.This Data Scientist, Audience and Insights role will lead audience targeting strategy, customer segmentation, machine learning models, personalization engine, audience administration and insights to enable successful digital campaigns. This role will partner closely with Marketing Strategy, Sales and Media teams in developing and optimizing media exchange audiences to drive business addition to above, Data Scientist, Audience and Insights role will leverage data clean room platform (Liveramp), manage data governance, develop off-the-shelf audiences, generate customer insights, and support personalization engine. The ideal candidate will have an extensive background in audience targeting with expertise in campaign management, lifecycle marketing, direct marketing, SQL programming, Python programming and marketing technology. Experimentation and a customer-centric mindset are core to the program. Experience within the digital media, e-commerce, retail or Consumer Packaged Goods is A MUST.Key responsibilities will include analyzing shoppers purchase behavior, developing off the shelf audiences for operational efficiency, leveraging customer insights to make targeting recommendations and distributing audiences into CMX media channels. The ideal candidate will have an advanced SQL/Python background with experience in digital media, e-commerce or retail.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Own the day-to-day, hands-on execution of all audience targeting related activities (strategy, planning, building, pulling, testing and insights) Query large data sets (billions of transaction records) in Teradata and Big Query platforms using SQL to derive consumer insights and build target audiences Serve as a primary point of contact between the Analytics team and the broader CMX team in the audience targeting area Develop, analyze and interpret audience data (e.g. sizing, distribution, and buyer persona) Identify 1st and 2nd party audience segment definitions required for the media campaigns and create audience segments using the naming taxonomy standard established during governance Work closely with IT to enhance data feed necessary for segment targeting and suppression Manage audience syndications to various activation endpoints Partner closely with business stakeholders in Marketing, Digital, Media, and Sales to identify opportunities and improve capabilities around audience development Provide thought leadership and guidance in audience related activitiesPay RangeThe typical pay range for this role is:Minimum: 60,000Maximum: 128,700Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.Required Qualifications 2+ years of experience working in analytics with a track record of delivering business impact 2+ years of experience in SQL and PythonPreferred Qualifications Experience in database design, data modeling and ETL process within different cloud environment platforms (ie. GCP, Azure, AWS, Snowflake, Databricks) Knowledge and experience in identity resolution and digital data connectivity platforms (ie.
