Enterprise Observability will be at the heart of this transformation journey as we embark to build an at-scale observability and telemetry ecosystem spanning multiple cloud providers, and data centers, providing unified visibility and context across all monitoring domains. We want you to bring your talent and expertise to drive the needed change.CVS Health is looking for an Executive Director who will be responsible for a team tasked with building a unified experience for observability & telemetry that drives the future of our SRE practice. This role requires EXCELLENT coalition-building skills, broad (and deep) technical knowledge, great communication skills, strategic thinking, as well as people-management experience.You will be working alongside people who care so that you can deliver on the following responsibilities: Build, maintain, & communicate the multi-year strategy and roadmap for Observability & Telemetry at CVSHealth Collaborate with other product and engineering leads and senior leaders on product and delivery requirements, roadmaps and vision, while building trusted relationships Drive with an SRE end-to-end mindset: automation of data collection from common data sources, store data efficiently in the Application Performance Management and Monitoring tools, render this information for the user based on the defined SLOs and SLIs, and finally, focus on the proactive actions, based on these insightsPay RangeThe typical pay range for this role is:Minimum: 157,800Maximum: 347,200Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.Required Qualifications10+ years of demonstrated experience with Setting strategic vision for an enterprise wide practice or capability, communicating and selling the vision to leadership, stakeholders and the team Leading transformations of key technologies supporting Metrics, Events, Logging, and Tracing (eg: Open Telemetry, Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Tivoli Omnibus). Exemplary leadership and communication abilities (both verbal and written) are a must; this role will partner closely with business and technology executives in a highly matrixed structure Influencing skills to include negotiation, persuasion of others, meeting facilitation, and conflict resolution; Leading other leaders/managersPreferred Qualifications Experience collaborating cross-functionally on availability / performance issues in order to identify root-cause, determine areas for improvement, and drive those actions to closure through effective solutions; Deep understanding on how to design and operate platform-wide services to tackle complex problems.Education Bachelor's Degree Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, Splunk Certified Developer, Dynatrace, Sun Certified Java Programmer, etc.Business OverviewBring your heart to CVS Health Every one of us at CVS Health shares a single, clear purpose: Bringing our heart to every moment of your health.
