Job DescriptionAs part of Aetna's Commercial Product organization, the Lead Director of Individual and Family Plans (IFP) Product Strategy and Development is responsible for designing, delivering, and managing product offerings that solve customer challenges for IFP members. In this high impact role, you will partner closely with the Executive Director of IFP Product, IFP leadership, and enterprise teams to develop and manage products and solutions that meet IFP customer needs, differentiate Aetna in the marketplace, and drive growth.Furthermore, you will develop segment-specific strategies and identifies new product development opportunities that meet the needs of IFP members. This will be accomplished by using a data-driven approach to deeply understanding and anticipating the unmet needs of IFP consumers and by assessing competitor offerings. As new product concepts are developed, the Lead Director of IFP Product Strategy and Development will work collaboratively with cross functional partners to execute through all stages of the product development process.You will have the opportunity to partner with various Aetna stakeholders, including within our Commercial Products team, as well as partners such as IFP leadership, sales, actuarial, clinical, finance, behavioral health, analytics, and marketing, to drive top and bottom line growth for the segment. In addition, you will work closely with enterprise partners (through channel partners in Aetna Commercial Product and/or directly) who are developing clinical, wellbeing, pharmacy and consumer-oriented products and solutions for multiple stakeholders, advocating for the unique needs of IFP customers and supporting value realization.The successful candidate has a strong background in health care strategy, commercial sales, product development, go to market, and collaborative leadership. Your agile mindset, strong influencing skills, and experience with active stakeholder engagement and management in a dynamic, matrixed organization will also be critical to your success.. Essential Responsibilities (The day to day): Develops our multi-year product strategy for the IFP segment with the Executive Director of IFP Product in support of the five-year segment strategy Leads the ideation, prioritization, development, and launch of new commercial products and solutions focused on meeting segment-specific needs, as well as continued improvements to existing products to remain market relevant Directs new products through the product development stage gate process, including business case development Works in close partnership with other teams across Commercial Product to share segment-specific priorities, understands the breadth of offerings being developed/managed, and assesses segment-driven applicability Partners with the IFP team to develop the base plan product portfolio annually Cultivates and develops relationships with key constituents such as sales and local market teams to ensure timely understanding of emerging trends and to pressure test new product concepts Guides research of the competitive landscape, from both a plan sponsor and consumer perspective, and incorporates learnings into a segment product and solution strategy. Assists with the development of training by working with the IFP Local Market Product Team on new offeringsPay RangeThe typical pay range for this role is:Minimum: 100,000Maximum: 221,000Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.
