We're looking for aspiring analytical enthusiasts to drive member engagement and behavior change in Aetna's Medicare Business, using advanced analytics, predictive modeling, segmentation, and statistics that leverages business acumen and good data storytelling to help Aetna improve member well-being and its product and services.Medicare Consumer Analytics is one of the largest teams within the Analytics & Behavior Change department's Consumer Analytics organization. The team is organized by business-aligned verticals - Medicare STARS, Revenue Integrity, Duals COE, Foundational Journeys, Enterprise Activation, & Optimization. This role is within our Enterprise Activation vertical. About the JobIn this Senior Data Scientist role, you will have a chance to leverage advanced techniques statistics and machine learning to solve complex business and technical problems, build customized models that process and make sense of petabytes of healthcare data and create applications that will automate processes in large scale.This is a hands-on full-stack data science role with a combination of SQL/Python programming, machine learning, statistical analysis, experiment design, business strategy and stakeholder management experiences.Specific job duties include: Build statistical models, predictive models, and other customized solutions using Python to solve complex business problems Process data from multiple sources via big data platforms (such as GCP) using SQL Research and implement innovative methodologies as needed to create customized solutions and scalable assets to share with broader team Design experiments and collaborate with engineering teams to configure the experiments to test and quantify the impact of business solutions Collaborate with internal and external business partners to understand and solve business problems and communicate business solutions and/or analytical results in presentations to business stakeholders/leadership teams Investigate optimization opportunities to existing programs to drive values from different member population and/or communication channelsPay RangeThe typical pay range for this role is:Minimum: 75,000Maximum: 167,000Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.Required Qualifications 3+ years of experience in SQL working with big data platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, etc.) and multiple data sources 3+ years of experience in Python to extract actionable insights from large and complex data sets 3+ years of hands-on experiences building customized models in Python (industry or academia), with advanced level of ML knowledge/experience 3+ years of experience in statistical analysis, experiment design and evaluation 3+ years of experience in healthcare, especially with pharmacy or payer (Medicare) data Experience with using data-driven storytelling to influence and create change, including presenting to non-technical/analytics audiencesPreferred Qualifications Experience in complex problem framing and solving Practical knowledge about healthcare quality programs such as Medicare STARS Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, etc) Experience leading projects and mentoring or coaching teammatesEducation Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Business Analytics, Economics, Physics, Engineering, etc.), or equivalent practical experience Prefer Master's degree or PhDBusiness OverviewBring your heart to CVS Health Every one of us at CVS Health shares a single, clear purpose: Bringing our heart to every moment of your health.
