Company :Allegheny Health NetworkJob Description :GENERAL OVERVIEW:Provides emergency medical care and transportation for the sick and injured patients in the prehospital environment and effectively communicates with all persons and departments involved in the provision and administration of Emergency Medical Services. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:Drive Response Vehicle (20%)Determines nature and extent of illness or injury providing basic life support and transportation of the sick and injured (50%)Completes required documentation according to standards (15%)Maintains equipment and inventory of supplies including BLS on every EMS unit (15%)Performs other duties as assigned or requiredQUALIFICATIONS:MinimumEmergency Medical Responder CertificationEmergency Vehicle Operators CertificationDrivers LicensePreferredAs a component of job responsibilities, employees may have access to covered information, cardholder data, or other confidential customer information that must be protected at all times.
