Job DescriptionSr. Solution Architect is responsible for providing optimal, scalable, reliable & extensible system & application architecture. Strong leadership skills is a must to drive innovation for Retail Pharmacy applications. Partner and build trusted relationships across organization & not limited to business, business analysts, enterprise architects, designers, developers, testers & support team to ensure optimal solution delivery. Architect is sole responsible to provide vision, strategies, planning & laying out architecture foundation, road map of various Retail Pharmacy suite of applications & will work in a matrix organization with others to ensure on-time, within budget & quality delivery. Experience with TOGAF or Zachman architecture methodologies & principles Program management experience a plus Familiarity with Active/Active application configuration (including Oracle & various open source technologies) preferred Knowledge and understanding of the CVS Health software development lifecycle Experience on public, private or hybrid PaaS Cloud is a plus Experience with any of the following approaches: Agile/Scrum development and management, the Scaled Agile Framework, iterative and incremental development, and/or continuous integration and delivery Advanced-level knowledge of technologies such as: mobile/web frameworks, omnichannel experience design, public/private/hybrid cloud, security and privacy, action arbitration, event streaming, AI/machine learning, consents, preferences, microservices, containerization, APIs, SOA, and/or messaging Experience leading a team to show high regard for adherence to quality standards, motivating team members and operating at maximum efficiency, actively seek ways to improve business software processes and interactions Leads with a sense of urgency in completing tasks and resolving issues in order to deliver a quality project on time and within budget, oversee and support the coaching and training of team members to ensure all necessary employees are confident in the use of software applications, collaborate with team members to determine best practices and requirements for software Assess overall business impact in efficient ways such that it will benefit retail systems from both performance & cost savings perspective, simplify, modernize, dis-aggregate various retail pharmacy applications, drive innovation, think & evaluate enterprise, industry wide standards & apply them within retail pharmacy applications Lead & facilitates status, discussions, which includes attending and/or conducting regular staff meetings Experience delivering comprehensive communications to management regarding the status and activities of the team both in written and presentation form, communicate easily with tech and non-tech teams, individuals and managers about your technology vision and how this creates value for them Experience leading multiple concurrent IT projects with varying degree of complexities, technologies and priorities, while meeting deadlines Proven experience leading architects in understanding business requirements and translating into software solutions A desire to work in a team setting and an excitement to share knowledge and ideas with others A strong work ethic, sense of professionalism, and a desire to constantly learnPay RangeThe typical pay range for this role is:Minimum: 95,000Maximum: 209,000Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.Required Qualifications 8+ years of professional IT experience including Java EE, Angular/Node JS, SOA, API - REST/JSON, SOAP, Spring Framework, Design Patterns, Middleware (Weblogic, Apache/Tomcat, MQ) & various DB technologies such as Oracle, MySQL, MSQL, Maria, Big Data, Hadoop, MongoDB, OS - Linux, AIX, Cloud platform & technologies 7+ years of experience in pharmacy systems or similar healthcare industry 5+ years of experience in leading resources both onsite & offshore & mentoring team members 5+ years of experience leading, architecting and implementation of large scale, multi-tier, high-volume applications 3+ years of experience with JEE based enterprise applications, Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), API design and implementation, Relational Database Management System (RDBMS), BigData, Data Modelling including Messaging Systems (MQ)COVID RequirementsCOVID-19 Vaccination RequirementCVS Health requires certain colleagues to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (including any booster shots if required), where allowable under the law, unless they are approved for a reasonable accommodation based on disability, medical condition, religious belief, or other legally recognized reasons that prevents them from being vaccinated.
