Our growing Manufacturing Infrastructure Services (MIS) team is actively interviewing for current and upcoming projects. Our Structural Engineer role provides you the opportunity to design the latest state-of-the-art facilities in a wide variety of markets such as industrial, manufacturing, oil & gas, real estate, solid waste, power, and public sector. We are seeking self-motivated individuals with strong communication skills and a passion to apply professional experience and knowledge in a team environment. You should be a detail-oriented professional, understand the importance of meeting personal and team commitments, and be flexible in adapting to a fast-paced environment. We are seeking candidates with a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering. Candidates having their Professional Engineer registration are preferred.ResponsibilitiesPossess an understanding of structural codes and standardsWork under the supervision of a senior engineer to:Analyze structures using various structural engineering software programs such as STAAD, RAM, TEDDS, SP-MATS, and Hilti Profis for the design of buildings, building foundations, equipment foundations, masonry structures, miscellaneous concrete and steel structures, and anchor rodsPrepare structural calculations and details of structural elements for various materials, primarily steel, concrete, and masonryProvide quality oversight for structural designs performed by othersBe the main point of contact for the structural discipline when meeting with the project manager, other discipline leads, and the customerTrain and mentor less experienced engineers and designersCoordinate details and miscellaneous design criteria with other disciplinesGenerate structural engineering hour estimates to complete ongoing work and for new proposalsBasic QualificationsBachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline is required5+ years of experience in structural engineering with relevant experience on industrial or manufacturing type projects.Demonstrated understanding and knowledge of industry codes and standards such as ACI, AISC, AIST, ASCE, and AWSDemonstrated understanding and knowledge of structural design softwarePossesses excellent written and verbal communication skillsProficient in using Microsoft Suite including MS Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPointAbility to perform field/site visitsAbility to travel (estimated travel time is 10%)Preferred QualificationsMasters’ degree in structural engineering is a plusREVIT, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and Bluebeam experience is a plusPE. Registration or E.I.T. with multiple years’ work under the supervision of a P.E.Experience with leading a team of engineers and designersCivil & Environmental Consultants, Inc.
