Understand the program's policies, routines and regulations.Schedule and conduct recreational activities each week including physical as well as educational and social activities.Attend staff meetings.Maintain required records.Performs other duties as assignedQualifications - ExternalDegree in Recreation Therapy/Degree in Special Education/Degree in related field.Experience in Therapeutic Recreation.NYS Drivers LicenseAcceptable clearance checks for State Central Register, Driver's license and fingerprinting as required by the pliance with health regulations for physical/mantoux testing.This position requires successful completion of Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) training, which includes a written test and demonstration of the competency to perform physical restraints, as specified by the program and regulatory body.
