Position: Early Childhood Education Director Department: Early Childhood Location: Brooklyn, New York Hours: 35 Hours/Week; Exempt Reports to: Vice President of Education and Community Services Direct Reports: All center staff RESPONSIBILITIES: Oversee all aspects of program administration, operations, and compliance with standards/regulations for center-based services at our Brooklyn site Provide leadership to ensure the agency is providing the highest quality, developmentally focused, and evidence-based services that increase school readiness, foster a language-rich environment, reduce social isolation, and increase parenting competence among children and families in high risk neighborhoods Serve as educational director providing coaching and supervision to teaching staffCoordinate SCO Policy Committees and Health Advisory Committees. Collaborate with the Early Childhood Governing Body Establish strong working relationships and continuous collaboration with community, funding and oversite partners Represent the agency at inter-agency meetings, open houses, etc. Liaise with private funders as well as external regulatory bodies on a regular basis, including Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DOHMH), NYC Department of Education (DOE)Monitor the implementation of CACFP and subsequent compliance with CACFP Oversee program evaluation and other Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) activities Maintain and monitor budgets for programs to ensure fiscal responsibility Supervise and ensure effective communication with a multidisciplinary team of service delivery staff and professional consultants, ensuring that staff receive training and regular performance evaluations Perform other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS: Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education and NYS certification birth to 2nd grade requiredMust be Fully Vaccinated
