Job DescriptionJoin a high-performing external reporting team supporting CVS Health and Aetna's Commercial Medical Loss Ratio (MLR) and Statutory Reporting (STAT) teams. This position is the marrying of STAT and MLR concepts with the knowledge and understanding in pricing, reserving and forecasting. It is designed to strengthen reporting capabilities of the unit with deep business understanding of core actuarial principles. This position is responsible for: - Building/Enhancing processes and/or models to bring structure to identified gaps across the teams. This includes legal entity forecasts and modeling for State requests, RBC calculations, and Legal Entity projections.- Leveraging business background and healthcare understanding to lead responses to audit requests and external regulatory questions by becoming a subject matter expert in our process. Partner with Actuarial Pricing and Reserving teams in response to requests.- Leverage strong communication skills and influence to lead development of new processes to enhance the structure around external reporting in MLR & STAT, and improve internal management reporting.- Share work product, findings, and recommendations with business stakeholders to ensure proper implementation across business areas.- Interface with senior leadership, describing detailed and intricate data in a way that can be digested by VPs and above. The role combines a dense subject matter expertise with proficient communication skills.- Ability to engage immediately and willingness to work on high profile projects.- Fast paced, multi-tasking environment with fixed deadlines and limited project plan flexibility The candidate will have the opportunity to assist in the transformation of Aetna's financial reporting systems through various projects and work within the team. The team will be working on a hybrid basis both in-office and work from home.
