Job DescriptionThe ideal candidate is able to transform dense, clinical jargon into clear, actionable content. Makes sure all materials are compliant and meet department and corporate objectives. This job employs plain language, member experience and health care communication expertise.Key responsibilities: Writes and revises member communications (letters, flyers, emails, SMS, phone scripts, website copy, etc.) to make sure they're in plain language, meet members' information needs, and follow brand and voice guidelines Removes jargon and edits letters, forms, and other health care communications Uses content checklists, playbooks and metrics to assess content Executes writing requests with accuracy, producing zero errors in work (all client edits are implemented correctly, spell check was run, facts were confirmed) Supports peers by reviewing work to ensure zero errors in work per above Performs other duties as assigned by manager.Required Qualifications Can break down and articulate complex information in simple terms (with examples) Has strong sense of empathy for members (customers) and colleagues Can work productively in ambiguous situations and ask for clarification as needed Can proactively problem-solve and identify opportunities to streamline and improve processes Is fluent in plain language and health communication best practices Shows proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Word, PowerPoint, Teams) and editing tools in Adobe Acrobat Shows proficiency in AP or Chicago Manual of Style Understands writing applications in traditional and emerging channels Maintains a consistent voice and audience focus in writing Exhibits consistent quality control in workCOVID RequirementsCOVID-19 Vaccination RequirementCVS Health requires certain colleagues to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (including any booster shots if required), where allowable under the law, unless they are approved for a reasonable accommodation based on disability, medical condition, religious belief, or other legally recognized reasons that prevents them from being vaccinated.
