Preschool Special Education Teacher

Now hiring a full-time special education teacher for Fall 2022 to work with preschool children with autism in an intensive 6:1:3 classroom program in Ithaca, New York. This classroom is integrated with a daycare program. Will be responsible for formulating individualized behavior/skills development plan, creating specific programs and activities to meet each IEP goal and working directly with each child on a rotating basisAnnual salary of $45,000 + credit for experience to start. Eligible for Federal Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program.Supervise paraprofessional staff, collaborate with the daycare teacher and therapists, engage in data analysis, brainstorm with the treatment team, communicate regularly with each family, and maintain paperwork.Expected to learn and implement principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA) given ongoing training.Ideal candidate is eager to learn, passionate about growth for all children, and open to feedback. Must have, or be eligible for, New York State Certification in Special Education.
