Job DescriptionOur Sales Analytics team is seeking a self-motivated, experienced Data Engineer to join a talented team responsible for providing critical business information in support of Aetna's Commercial Business growth and retention strategy. This is a great opportunity to innovate and collaborate with a team of professionals across the enterprise to design and execute on data solutions that meet the needs of the business. The Sales Analytics team is a key business unit within Aetna's Sales Insights and effectiveness team with a primary focus on supporting Aetna's Commercial Business. This team is responsible for research and analysis of sales performance data, interpreting results and making data-driven recommendations to key stakeholders and executives to help achieve short and long-term business objectives.The fundamental components of the role include: Development and execution of highly complex and large-scale SQL data structures/pipelines to organize, collect and standardize data to generate insights and addresses reporting needs. Writes highly complex ETL (Extract / Transform / Load) processes, designs database systems and develops tools for real-time and offline analytic processing. Anticipates and solves highly complex problems with detailed knowledge of multiple programming languages and data infrastructure. Designs complex production systems and creates custom packages using multiple programming languages to solve challenging analytical problems. Implements and executes automated job scheduler to process stored procedures and refresh routine report data. Analyzes current information technology environments to identify and assess critical capabilities and recommend solutions. Designs and modifies components of new and existing IT systems to promote integrated corporate business systems. Motivates team members and probes into technical details, and mentors others to do the same. Collaborates cross-functionally to build and convert algorithms and models into production systems to support enterprise initiatives. Develop frameworks, standards & reference material for architecture and associated products. Provides guidance for enterprise-wide technology roadmap. Experiments with available tools and advises on new tools in order to determine optimal solution given the requirements dictated by the model/use case. Applies knowledge of systems and products to consult and advise on additional efforts across organization/enterprise.Required Qualifications 10 or more years of progressively complex related experience. Additional experience working in marketing and operations analytics in the finance sector and building, validating, and monitoring statistical models and ensuring client guidelines are met. Additional experience delivering data analytics presentations to clients and executives, supervising projects, and leading teams, participating in project requirements, developing, coordinating, and managing offshore supplier resources, participating in high-level and low-level design meetings, and preparing initial design documents used to start development work.
