Job DescriptionThe Commercial Care Management organization is searching for a Sr. Strategic Initiatives Manager to join the Clinical Enablement team to execute on key business transformation initiatives. "¯ This is a fully remote, work-from-home position with normal working hours expected to be 8:00am-5:00pm EST Monday through Friday. "¯ Less than 10% travel is expected with this position. "¯ The Sr. Strategic Initiatives Manager will drive and meet objectives by solving organization and business problems, identifying, and seizing new opportunities, enhancing thought leadership, and implementing change. "¯ The Sr. Strategic Initiatives Manager is responsible for providing analysis, guidance, and direction within areas of expertise; and developing relationships with external consultants and cross-functional team members as required in support of care management initiatives. "¯ Ideal candidates for the role will: Strategy and Planning: -Lead, develop and implement policies, procedures, testing and reports to ensure the end-to-end technical operations of approximately 20 clinical programs are operating accurately as intended and designed -Develop, oversee, and manage strategies for a portfolio of pilot projects, new programs and strategic initiatives -Stimulate strategic thinking in support of business direction Project Specification and Business Needs: -Analyze and manage business requirements for new program initiatives, process re-designs, and operational reorganization efforts -Develop and maintain project specifications, including business requirements, user requirements, functional and operating systems specifications Testing: -Design and maintain a complete library of testing scenarios to be executed prior to go-live approvals, and advocate for robust test environments that closely mimic operating/production environments. -Partner with product design, various IT teams, and operational leaders to ensure planning, resource allocation, and execution of testing Issues Management: -Conduct research associated with business issues and plan formulation -Develop issues management and resolution relative to the organization's strategic execution -Address problems of a short to mid-term nature with limited supervision; develop capacity to address longer-term issues -Analyze technology failure patterns that limit the effectiveness and efficiency of operating clinical programs, and make recommendations for resolution -Run "warranty" periods for new clinical product launches, collaborating with operations and technology teams to ensure rapid response to identified problems -Manage technology issues and participate in agile planning processes to be sure that appropriate resources and priorities are applied for fixes, as well as for new features Performance Management: -Facilitate the development of execution plans, in partnership with subject matter experts and monitor and report on performance relative to plans -Establish systematic procedures for evaluating performance of different initiatives against expected costs and value benefits Project Management: -Collaborate with various business partners across the organization to support new and ongoing CCM initiatives -Ability to focus, engage, and manage multiple workstreams across the CCM spectrum -Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment based on changing priorities. Leadership: -Be an expert in our care management business processes and use cases -Develop communication vehicles (e.g., presentations, speeches) -Ensure consistent, efficient, and cost-effective processes, procedures, and appropriate accountability -Manage special projects that impact entire organization -Effectively managing the organization's resources (e.g., staff, expenses, capital, assets) -Executive presence, demonstrated proficiency in team leadership and motivation -Well organized, strong communicator with a variety of audiences to include Senior and Executive leadership -Supportive of a positive work environment and teamwork -Excellent oral communication skills, both in small group meetings and in large meetings of 50 or more persons, including the ability to prepare and present effective and compelling power point slides. -Excellent writing skills, including the ability to prepare high quality written reports from diverse materials and inputs. -Ability to work collaboratively and consultatively with executive level customersRequired Qualifications-5+ years' experience in a healthcare setting preferred (payer, PBM, provider, or management consulting environment) with demonstrated experience in testing policy, procedure, scenarios, and application -5+ years' experience with relationship management skills at peer levels within an organization and external constituents. -5+ years' experience with developing analysis, presentations, and support material to successfully implement strategy or change initiatives. -5+ years' experience with project managementCOVID RequirementsCOVID-19 Vaccination RequirementCVS Health requires certain colleagues to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (including any booster shots if required), where allowable under the law, unless they are approved for a reasonable accommodation based on disability, medical condition, religious belief, or other legally recognized reasons that prevents them from being vaccinated.
