Job DescriptionThe Legal Counsel - Privacy position will fill a critical legal need for the company by providing strategic legal counsel to internal business partners with respect to Federal and state healthcare and consumer privacy regulations and laws. You will proactively advise business partners on a wide variety of matters and work collaboratively with other attorneys and partners across the enterprise on matters related to privacy legal and regulatory compliance. This attorney will identify business and legal risks and work with the business to provide solutions which balance legal issues and business objectives. The ideal candidate will have privacy expertise as well as the ability to develop an understanding of the business and operational goals of assigned internal clients, proactively advise business partners on a wide variety of matters and work collaboratively with other attorneys/partners on matters related to legal and regulatory compliance. The Legal Counsel - Privacy position will work closely with our businesses responsible for our data strategy and development of payor-agnostic products and programs and will provide support on federal and state privacy laws like HIPAA, CCPA. The primary business partners for the Legal Counsel - Privacy to support will be our healthcare services and products teams, as well as our analytics order to be successful in this role you must exhibit the following:-Ability to synthesize and apply multiple regulatory frameworks to business activities.-Analytical skills and strong legal project management and facilitation skills.-Ability to work both independently and collaboratively. -Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Required Qualifications5+ years of legal experience with a law firm, healthcare or retail company focused on issues related to privacy, data protection or related regulatory matters (e.g., HIPAA, CCPA or GDPR)Admitted to practice law in good standing in at least one state.COVID RequirementsCOVID-19 Vaccination RequirementCVS Health requires certain colleagues to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (including any booster shots if required), where allowable under the law, unless they are approved for a reasonable accommodation based on disability, medical condition, religious belief, or other legally recognized reasons that prevents them from being vaccinated.
